  • The next BIG thing in fashion

    Tuesday, February 23, 2010

What a busy week last week was! Friday, I had the pleasure of being invited to assist with the judging of the submissions of “The Next Big Thing in Fashion” at Sanctuary Cove. What a hard task it was! There were some amazing entries, which made choosing 6 finalists quite tough. Entries included swimwear, children’s wear, bridal, couture and womenswear fashion. The “Next Big Thing in Fashion” is a Gold Coast Competition designed to provide an opportunity for student and emerging designers to promote their labels to the general public and be the “Next Big Thing in Fashion.”

The 6 finalists who will be announced in tomorrow’s GC Bulletin have the opportunity to sell their designers in a “GROUP SPACE” at Sanctuary Cove Marine Village for 3 weeks from the 9th to the 27th March. Read the rest of this entry

    Pandora's Temptation – Valentine's Day dresses at $99

    Thursday, February 11, 2010

You know what I love about fashion; there is always something for everyone! Earlier this week, I discovered a special place just north of Surfers in Tedder Avenue called Pandora’s Temptation. Like Pandora’s box, there are many unexpected temptations inside. Dresses made from beautiful fabrics all the way from Brussels in some magnificent colours, all colours of the rainbow, really beautiful colours. Pandora’s Temptation is the baby of Designer Pandora Lemonis. Pandora’s designs are storming the International Market in Europe and the USA. Pandora thoughts on her range…

“My latest range includes beautiful dresses for the party season. Ladies can now shine in the romance of glamorous parties. My dresses are captivating and create an elegance and mystery in any setting.  Women are meant to be mysterious, glamorous and alluring, my designer dresses reflect these qualities. I use magnificent silks to enhance and illuminate each woman. The fabrics are so light they feel beautiful against your skin.” Read the rest of this entry

Chic and Parisian Inspired Country Road

    Thursday, February 4, 2010

‘Chic’, ‘Parisian’, ‘trendy’, ‘rock inspired’, ‘stylish’, ‘elegant’, ‘I love’, and ‘must-haves’ are the words that consume my head after I unwrapped the latest Country Road Catalogue. It’s been a while since I’ve loved pretty much every piece in their range. The shoot showcasing their latest range was simple, clean, chic, original and inspiring. Thank god for layby and cardholders discounts is all I can say.

They have kept their core basics which as usual fit like a glove, white short and long sleeve tee’s, tank singlet tops and grey marl tops, perfect to throw on when you want to look casual but still stylish.

If you’re not a CR card holder and haven’t seen their latest and greatest, head to your nearest store and see what I am talking about! Be quick, its not going to last long.

    Great work CR!
