When it comes to fashion and style, they are only 2 of the ingredients when it comes to our overall image and feeling great! As much as we love them both, you are never quite able to carry off any outfit or image with confidence if  you don’t feel your hair is quite right. Trust me, I have been battling this for almost the last 12 months!!! Last week, I discovered a hidden gem on the Gold Coast. An oasis. A Sanctuary. A sensory delight! As much as I’d love to keep it to myself, I’m going to share it with you because after all, there is nothing better than feeling beautiful, being pampered, having your hair a colour you love.

Lattouf, which probably should be French for pampering is your next destination to be totally indulged. They are tucked away in the Marriott hotel in Surfers Paradise and whilst I know many people might not want to battle the congested streets of Surfers, let me tell you, it’s well well worth it. Perhaps don’t make a booking for late Saturday afternoon as I did, esp before a national public holiday (as all the revelers were getting ready for pre pre Australia Day celebrations), but whatever you do… treat yourself and make a booking. Stephen Lattouf is the man behind these Salons, which are located in both Sydney and lucky for us, the GC.  Lattouf uses Aveda products, free of chemicals and animal ingredients and organic plant and flower essences. Give the Spa Manager Christine a call on 1300 36 37 37 to make an apt or visit www.lattouf.com.au to try and decide how to spoil yourself.

I promise you will be thanking me!!!

    Charlie Brown

It’s always nice when you meet a designer whose clothes you admire and love. Today I was in the right place at the right time.

I popped into Myer ever so quickly because my urge to see whether new stock was starting to filter in overcome me and I wandered over to Charlie Brown to see what delicious new materials were being ruffled and bunched only to my delight to see Charlie herself.

I was fortunate that one of my favourite sales assistants was on and introduced me to her. She’s just fantastic. Vivacious, inspiring and passionate. I was talking to her about how I loved how the range has diversified and their use of more ruffles and frills has been just fantastic – I am very much a ruffles and frill type woman, they’re so fun! She said she has got a great team behind her (which I thought was just lovely) and clearly she does. I had a sneak peak at some of the new winter stock that the girls were unpacking and whilst we are not quite ready for the long sleeves yet, get in quick there are limited sizes and between you and me, it’s good, really good! Some of her best pieces yet.

Summer stock is also reduced to clear, so if you had your eye on anything but couldn’t find room in the budget it’s worth checking out whether they have what you want in your size.

It’s exciting, the new seasons stock is starting to trickle in – everywhere I looked I could see injections of new things, breathe Michelle, just breathe!

    Happy shopping days ahead x

    Fashion of course!

Well, I don’t know about you, but I am hanging for an injection of new fashion to hit the retail stores. Don’t get me wrong, not that I have the $ to do so after Christmas and having my appendix out… Sales are great but after about a month of them, the stock levels start to dwindle and you get a bit sick of seeing the same old stuff not in your size. I’ve been holding off revisiting the shops the last couple of weeks, because usually come the 2nd-3rdweek of Jan retailers start showcasing new seasons goodies! Yah!!! So its full steam ahead on the saving wagon for me. Read the rest of this entry
